Our Commitment

Using a website can be difficult for people with disabilities, and no two people need the same things. What helps one person can get in another person's way.

Covet is a small, owner-run boutique. We make the accommodations we reasonably can given our size and our resources, we have taken advice from professionals on this, and we keep improving the site as we learn what gets in the way. Accessibility Menu

This site runs UserWay, an accessibility widget provided by a third party and powered by their own servers. It adds adjustments you can turn on for yourself, such as larger text, more spacing, higher contrast, link highlighting, and a screen reader mode. UserWay states that its application makes efforts to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) to some degree.

Open it with the accessibility icon in the corner of any page. Give the menu a moment to finish loading before you use it.

How This Site Is Built

The widget is an addition, not the plan. The site itself is built to be usable without it:

• Text and background colors meet WCAG AA contrast.
• Every page can be used by keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a skip link straight to the main content.
• Headings, landmarks, and form labels are marked up properly, so a screen reader can move through a page in order.
• Images carry alternative text, and images that are purely decorative are hidden from assistive technology.
• Motion is slight, and it stops completely when your device asks for reduced motion.
• Pages reflow on small screens and at 200 percent zoom without losing content.

We aim at WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are not claiming every page meets it perfectly, and we would rather hear where it falls short than pretend otherwise.

Third-Party Content

Parts of this site are built by other companies: maps, social media feeds, payment services, and the shopping platform itself. We do not control how those are made and often cannot change them, so they may not work the same way for every person or every type of disability.

If one of them blocks you, tell us. We will get you the same information or complete your order another way, by email or in person at the boutique.

Ongoing Work

The site changes over time, and accessibility changes with it. We fix what we find and what people report, as our resources and the available technology allow. Suggestions are genuinely welcome. They are the fastest way for us to learn what is not working.
